oona is a startup created as part of my enrollment in the Lean Launchpad course hosted by the Berkeley Haas school of Business.

I have been interested in entrepreneurship for a while now and sort of lucked out stumbling upon Lean Launchpad. As an engineer that prefers pragmatic solutions rather than theoretical ones, there is a lot of appeal of the hypothesis testing regiment that Steve Blank prescribes.

As part of the class, building an MVP is encouraged, while our product is constantly evolving to find product market fit (PMF), our most recent pivot has been creating a social media app that allows users to discuss recommendations on beauty products and services. Here are some screenshots of the work in progress:

Testing

There are a few small details I want to add but it’s important to really emphasize the lean in lean launchpad. A good MVP should describe the app’s purpose is without having to implement the details (backend, user sign-in, security, user settings, 3rd party APIs, etc).

I am continuing to develop the app, and team oona is excited to test the app with a sorority in Berkeley on March 9.
